Minutes from the 10/14/2021 General Meeting

Our next pub meetup is at Elgin Park Brewery in Downtown Tulsa on 10/28/2021 from 5pm to 8pm.

While local breweries have been gracious to host our club, we do need a new meeting space to call our own. If you know a space or would like to suggest a place, please contact officers@alemakers.org.

Learn to Homebrew Day is the first Saturday in November, which is the 6th. Bring those people that say “Wow! I wish I knew how to brew my own beer!” $40 gets your ingredients to make a 5 gallon batch. Come brew in front of High Gravity. 12 spots available.

FOAM Christmas party is Friday, December 3rd at Station 13 just west of Downtown Tulsa. Rental cost is $1,500, which is $500 more than budgeted. Several members motioned to approve the extra expense. Motion carried by a majority show of hands.
The Club is considering hiring a food truck for the event, for which we will vote at the November general meeting. Watch for an additional notification.

Nominations for FOAM Officers keep rolling in:
Kate Friedl nominated for VP of Events.
Jeff Pursley nominated for VP of Treasury.
There is still time to nominate! Email officers@alemakers.org.

Your most favorite home brew competition, FOAM Cup, is next month! Entries are limited to 500 so get your submissions entered! Read VP of Competitions, Gary Elliot, post for all the details. We know you brew the best beer so get some ice and bling to prove it!
Say you’re the best beer drinker instead? We still need you to sign up as a judge or steward because the beer doesn’t drink or serve itself.

Are you attending every meeting? Bringing home brewed beer and food? Volunteering to judge? Pouring at TCBI and other fine festivals? Great! Now you can earn something for your dedication through FOAM Club Member of the Year and FOAM Home Brewer of the Year in 2022. Details to follow.

Speaking of TCBI; remember how you had such a great time? Wish you had a T-shirt you could wear around town so that when people say “Hey! Really cool shirt!” you could tell them all about it? Or, how about a set of pint glasses with the TCBI logo on which to serve your home brew when guests come over? You can, of course! Buy them now at High Gravity or at the next FOAM meeting.

Finally, the Oktoberfesticuffs was the main event for our meeting. Competitors, their beers, and who won all right here.
