Calling all FOAM members!
We are swiftly approaching the end of entry registration for this year’s edition of FOAM Cup!
Entries close at 10:00 PM CDT on Saturday, November 6. As of 1:00 PM on October 16, we have 346 paid entries out of the limit of 500 paid entries. So there is lots of room for your entries!
As of this date, there are only 43 entries from FOAM members! I know we can do better. There are an awful lot of very good brewers in this club, and here is an opportunity to get your brewing prowess recognized and earn some sweet FOAM medals!
Getting your beer(s) entered into FOAM Cup not only helps the club, but gives you a great opportunity to get some superb feedback on your beer from our judges! Along with the Beer Judge Certification Program (BJCP), we require our judges to give valid and comprehensive feedback on your beer as it relates to the beer style guidelines published by the BJCP.
If you already bottle your beer, you’re almost there! You just need to register at foamcup.us and get your entries recorded.
If you only keg your beer, it’s relatively easy to bottle beers for competition. The club owns a Blichmann Beer Gun that is available for you use. Just contact me at vp-competitions@alemakers.org if you would like to borrow it. Or you can simply attach a (clean and sanitized) hose to your tap and fill your (clean and sanitized) bottles (slowly, from the bottom). Cap on the foam and you’re ready to go!
