The 2021 Oktoberfisticuff competition was conducted during our regular club meeting at Broken Arrow Brewing on Thursday, October 14. I am pleased to announce our winners:
1st Place – David Thompson – Festbier
2nd Place – Mac Butcher – German Pils
3rd Place – Jeff Pursley – Dunkles Weissbier
Thank you also to our other competitors – Peter Polczynski (Vienna Lager); Cody Cannon (Helles Bock); and Travis Kirby (Märzen). Just a note – 3rd place ended up being determined with a coin toss, and Peter almost snuck in for 3rd place.
I especially want to thank Broken Arrow Brewing for hosting us on their patio, as well as my very judicious vote counters – Valerie Grogan and Grant Carpenter.
