Volunteers needed to Check-in FOAM Cup Entries

It’s time to gear up for this year’s FOAM Cup!

Checking in entries

We hit our max of 500 entries and now comes the fun part, checking in entries and organizing them! We need FOAMers to help us get the job done.

Here is the schedule:
Monday, Nov 7: 4-7pm
Tuesday, Nov 8: 4-7pm
Thursday, Nov 10: 4-7pm
Friday, Nov 11: 4-7pm

Please note that it will probably not take four sessions to check-in all the entries depending on how many show up to help.

Sign up to Judge

If you have not signed up to help judge, please do that now. If you have never judged before, no worries. We will assign you with an experienced judge. Click Here to register. If you helped judge last year there’s no need to register as you already have an account. Just Log in and choose Edit Account from the My Account menu indicated by the icon on the top menu.

Flavors Workshop and Judging Primer

We are also conducting a flavors workshop followed by a quick primer on judging beers on Saturday, November 12th from 2-6pm.

The flavors workshop will be an abbreviated version of our typical flavors class and will focus on the most common flavors (good and bad) found in beer.

The judging primer will go over the five areas involved in judging beer: Aroma – Appearance – Flavor – Mouthfeel – Overall Impression. We will judge and fill out sheets for at least 2 beers. An email will be sent out for those interested to register as we need to estimate how many beers and supplies need to be purchased.

FOAM Cup is one of our biggest fund raisers for the club so let’s all do our part to make sure it is a big success.
