Hey now, FOAMers, it’s November, and that means Belgian Night. This is one of the best-attended meetings of the year and for good reason. Belgian beer styles have a broad and exotic range of flavors, colors, and ABVs…though some trend quite strong. As always, we encourage everyone to consume responsibly, and plan your transportation accordingly.
We, your FOAM officers, overlooked one very vital part of our annual club schedule, and for that I apologize; we were supposed to be informing all members of a call to nominate officers for 2021 through last month, and up until the meeting this Thursday, with voting to take place in person at the meeting. I know Desiree sent out an email to all club members to that effect last week. I wanted to reiterate that we will be taking nominations through the second Thursday of December and voting on it then.
Nominations are open for the following positions:
- President
- VP of Communications
- VP of Events
- VP of Membership
- VP of Competitions
- Treasurer
- Webmaster
You may nominate any current club member for these positions, or you may nominate yourself. One of the best things about FOAM is that our members make it the great club that it is, and we welcome anyone who wants to volunteer. If you haven’t ever been an officer in the club before, why not throw your hat into the ring?

As we have been doing for the past few months, the FOAM meeting for November will be held at Dead Armadillo, 1004 E 4th St., in their biergarten, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. I look forward to seeing all of you there!
Cheers,
Marion Gooding
FOAM President
