For all of the mead makers out there, the Mazer Cup International Mead competition is now open for registration and entries. You can reach the main page using this link. Registration runs through February 28, and that is also the shipping deadline. (Since this is not a High Plains event, you’re on your own for shipping of entries.)
This competition is open to commercial and home mead makers, with separate competition tracks for each. The entry fee is $15 and you’re limited to 5 entries. Make sure that you read all of the instructions, since there are some interesting restrictions.
