Happy New Year fellow FOAMers!
High Plains competition season continues to ramp up. As of today, you will be able to register entries for the Championship of the Pint which is sponsored by the Garage Brewers Society in Missouri.
As a reminder, FOAM pays for shipping for all entries to High Plains competitions, you just need to pay your individual entry fees. As with most competitions, you need to register anew each year in order to put entries into the competition. Once you have set up this account, you can then go back into their system to add and/or edit entries.
Make sure that you identify Fellowship of Oklahoma Ale Makers (FOAM) as your home club!
Please refer to my previous announcement (“Competition Season is Here!”) for general entry requirements for most competitions. However, make sure that you read all of the information on the “Home: and “Info” links your see at the top of the competition website.
Champion of the Pint
To register for this competition, click this link. Once you’ve registered you can begin to add entries.
Registration is open until March 7, 2020, but you’ll need to have your entries at High Gravity no later than 5:00 pm on Friday, February 14, 2020 so that we can get them packaged and shipped in time for the shipping deadline of February 21, 2020.
The entry fee is $8.00 per beer. Entry consists of 2 bottles. This competition does not limit the number of entries in any given category, and you can enter each subcategory more than once, provided that each beer/mead/cider is not the same.
There is a limit of 325 entries for this competition, so don’t hesitate to enter. As of 1:30 pm on January 1, there were 13 entries.
Judging will take place on from March 2 through March 7, 2020.
