During our October FOAM meeting we will be holding our annual Oktoberfesticuffs club competition. We will be meeting at the Boneyard at Dead Armadillo Craft Brewing on Thursday, October 8. (We really appreciate that Dead Armadillo is letting us use their facility for our meetings, so please make sure you patronize the tap room and show your support!)
Members are invited to enter their traditional German/Czech/Austrian beer, lager or ale (BJCP Styles 3 through 10) . Limit is one entry per membership.
This year we are only doing “Peoples Choice” to decide who gets the prize for first, second or third place. Each member in attendance will be given 3 tokens to vote for their 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice of the beers entered. You will need to check in at the meeting with Valerie Grogan, our esteemed VP_Membership to get your tokens. Points will be awarded using a modified Borda’s Count system – each first place vote is worth 6 points, 3 for 2nd and 2 points for third. Make sure you taste and then vote. There are some very nice trophies up for grabs this year!

Deadline for entry is 5 pm on Monday, October 5, so that we can make sure we have enough jockey boxes and coolers available.
