Looking for Brewers to Support Two Charity Events This Week

We have two charity beer events coming up very quickly. I am looking for FOAM volunteers to serve any quantity of home brewed beer, cider, wine, mead or anything else you’ve brewed.

First up is the Fall Festival for A New Leaf, Saturday September 21 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm. The mission of A New Leaf is to provide individuals with developmental disabilities with life skills and marketable job training through horticultural therapy, community-based vocational placement, and residential services to increase their independence and individual choices. The event is typically small but fun with food and a band. We are typically the only beer or wine. The location has changed for this year. It will be a pop-up location at 51st and Sheridan. Send a message to philosopher@alemakers.org if you wish to participate. You and your guest will be more than welcome.

Right after that is our first chance to participate in The Tasting at Woodward Park to benefit the Tulsa Garden Center from 7:00 to 10:00 pm Friday, September 27. The event is their primary annual fundraiser, and benefits the beautification of Woodward Park. The event was once known as An Evening of Wine and Roses, which took a hiatus in 2016 when Rose Rosette Disease wiped out our roses in the Rose Garden. The Tasting will showcase the best local wineries, breweries, and culinary establishments in an elegant garden party styled event. And now they want home brew. Should be fun. Send a message to philosopher@alemakers.org if you wish to participate. You and your guest will be more than welcome.
