Brewing Experiment: Jester King Yeast

The first of a new series of events occurring every other month where brewers present and examine a variable in the brewing process.

Cody Cannon has cultured yeast from the dregs of a Jester King bottle. Bootleg Biology also markets a Jester King yeast. Cody brewed a split batch and fermented with each. We’ll be breaking down the differences and similarities while discussing yeast harvesting, propagation, and storage.
