We are pleased to announce that we will be holding our annual “Octoberfisticuffs” this year during our October meeting on October 13! The venue and food options will be announced soon.
This year, we will only be doing “people’s choice”. Each FOAM member in attendance will be able to vote for their favorite beer brewed by one of our great homebrewers! No mail-in votes allowed!
Any traditional German/Czech/Austrian bier style (lager or ale) can be entered (BJCP Styles 3 through 10). Great trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, along with year-long bragging rights (or crying rights) are to be had. You are limited to 1 entry per membership, family or single.
Please let me know if you are entering at least 3 days before the October meeting (email: gary2475@gmail.com) with style and serving method) . Last minute surprise entries will not be considered for formal judging or trophies since we need to make sure we have enough jockey boxes available.
It’s not too late to start brewing a beer for this competition, so get those mash tuns and fermenters fired up!
