President’s Report for July

It’s time for the July meeting and you all know what that means…

IT’S IRON BREWER JUDGING  AT HIGH GRAVITY!!!

So bring your taste buds and get ready to vote for your favorite Iron Brewer beer.

This year the ingredients were Double Shot Coffee Beans, Maple Syrup, and Nutella.

This is always a fun meeting and I’m looking for forward to seeing everyone!

We have 7 teams this year and I’m sure they all made a great beer:
The Boilovers
Team Slim
Brew Buddies #1
High Kräusen – American Nut Job
A gallon of beer for a pint of gas
Back alley sailors
Wish You Were a Beer

Also a reminder that the Tulsa Craft Beer Invitational is fast approaching.  the TCBI Chairs have been meeting monthly working out the details and we are know moving to meeting every two weeks. It is important for everyone to be involved, so I will be posting meeting times in the FOAM Facebook group and on alemakers.org.

Proceeds from TCBI will be shared with FOAM so I expect all hands on deck for this fun event!

We need volunteers!

There are 5 shifts that we need help with in order to ensure this event is a huge success. Volunteering will give you access to the event. You will not be required to work the event the entire time. Priority is being given to FOAM members. As we get closer and determine the number of additional volunteers are needed we will look for outside help.

We need FOAMers to serve their beers!

TCBI not only will feature special one-offs from Oklahoma breweries, it’s also a homebrew competition. VIP ticket holders will be voting on their favorite homebrewed beer. We are inviting all the homebrew clubs in Oklahoma to participate and we want FOAM to have the best and the most beers on tap!

Let us know that you will be serving your homebrew by registering here.

See you FOAMers on Thursday!

Cheers,
Desiree Knott
