The Next FOAM meeting is scheduled for February 12th @ Hope Unitarian Church. During the meeting we will be judging the reverse Pro-Am. Jake from Heirloom will be in attendance to judge the beers. A prize will be awarded to the beer that is closest to there Hound’s Share English Mild. If you didn’t make a beer for the competition please feel free to bring other beverages for members to share as well as the entries.
We are looking for a new Vice President of Events. Justin Leggs has moved and as a result had to resign his position if you know of anyone or are interested in this position please let an officer know. We have a couple of events coming that FOAM attends such as Splash and Sharrock the Rose. These are events that the events VP helps coordinate.
Who mead it better? is scheduled for the August meeting. It is time to think about what recipe you are gonna make and get to brewing. This years theme is heat. That will allow for a broad range of creative meads that meet the theme. FOAM will supplement half of the honey cost if you go to Small Batch Brewtique.
Food and Beer pairing will be here before you know it. It is time to think about who you would like to team up with and plan your pairing. If you are interested in participating but don’t have a partner let one of the officers know and we will help you to meet your new friend and brewing partner.
