DESCRIPTION:*Corrected location to Hope Unitarian Church* \nIt is once again time for our Oktoberfesticuffs competition! \nMembers are invited to enter their traditional German/Czech/Austrian beer\, lager or ale (BJCP Styles 3 through 10) . Limit is one entry per membership. \nIt is mandatory that you register your entry! No “walk in” entries will be allowed at the meeting! If you have any trouble with the registration form\, please email me at VP-Competitions@alemakers.org \nThere will be an award for 1st\, 2nd and 3rd place. \nOnce again\, we are using peoples choice to select the winners! Due to feedback about last year’s voting process\, we will be limiting votes to one per FOAM member\, two if you have a family membership and your registered family member is present. Any ties will be broken via coin toss.

DESCRIPTION:The first of a new series of events occurring every other month where brewers present and examine a variable in the brewing process. \nCody Cannon has cultured yeast from the dregs of a Jester King bottle. Bootleg Biology also markets a Jester King yeast. Cody brewed a split batch and fermented with each. We’ll be breaking down the differences and similarities while discussing yeast harvesting\, propagation\, and storage.
