SUMMARY:FOAM Meeting - Iron Brewer Judging
DESCRIPTION:Join FOAM at High Gravity for their July meeting and the judging of this year’s Iron Brewer beers! \nThe Iron Brew competition concept is taken from the Iron Chef television show. The general idea is for teams of homebrewers to test their recipe formulation and brewing skills by brewing a beer from previously-unknown ingredients. \nThe FOAM Iron Brewer Award will be determined by the judges. Several qualified judges will use standard BJCP scoring to judge your beer against the entry form you completed on brew day. \nThe people’s choice will be decided among those attending the meeting.

SUMMARY:FOAM Meeting - 3rd Annual Oktoberfesticuffs
DESCRIPTION:It is once again time for our Oktoberfesticuffs competition! We will be holding it at the Boneyard at Dead Armadillo Craft Brewing on Thursday\, October 8 during our usual membership meeting. Limit is one entry per membership. \nThis year we are only doing “Peoples Choice” to decide who gets the prize for first\, second or third place. Each member in attendance will be given 3 tokens to vote for their 1st\, 2nd and 3rd choice of the beers entered. You will need to check in at the meeting with Valerie Grogan\, our esteemed VP_Membership to get your tokens. Points will be awarded using Borda’s Count system (look it up!). Make sure you vote\, but mail in ballots will NOT be accepted.
