DESCRIPTION:Learn to Homebrew Day this year is November 5th from Noon-6ish.\nFOAMers are encouraged to brew in front of High Gravity. \nThis year we are encouraging FOAMers to brew extract beers. The reason for this is simple. Extract brewing is more approachable.\nHigh Gravity is covering the cost of ingredients up to $40. You must be a member of FOAM. \nSetup starts at 11:00am. You are responsible for your own equipment. High Gravity will have hoses and a water filter. \nEveryone is encouraged to bring homebrew to share with everyone. We will have the FOAM jockey setup outside. \nYou need to register to brew but not to come hang out and help answer brewing questions. The general idea is for teams of homebrewers to test their recipe formulation and brewing skills by brewing a beer from previously-unknown ingredients. \nThe FOAM Iron Brewers Award will be determined by the judges. Several qualified judges will use standard BJCP scoring to judge your beer against the entry form you completed on brew day. \nThe people’s choice will be decided among those attending the meeting.

DESCRIPTION:Join your fellow FOAM members for a holiday celebration!\nThis year the Tulsa Station 13 will be hosting and it should be a great time.\nOklahomie’s Mobile Gastro Food Truck will feed us. We are giving attendees $10 vouchers toward the the food truck food. You are responsible for any remaining balance.\nIf you would like to provide a dessert that would be wonderful.\nHomebrew and commercial beers are welcome. We will have the FOAM jockey box for kegs.\nThere will be raffle giveaway towards the end of the evening. Each attendee will get one ticket. Additional tickets will be sold for $1/each or 12/$10.\n\nthe FOAM officers are looking forward to seeing everyone there!

DESCRIPTION:In 1999\, Learn To Homebrew Day was established by the American Homebrewers Association to promote the most rewarding\, and delicious activity of all time — homebrewing. \nOn the first Saturday in November\, thousands of people celebrate Learn to Homebrew Day. Homebrewers worldwide brew beer and learn about the hobby of homebrewing. \nThe Fellowship of Oklahoma Ale Makers will be brewing in front of High Gravity\, answering questions and promoting the are of homebrewing. Come out and learn how to brew beer. \nHigh Gravity will be offering special pricing on starter kits. \nWe will have the FOAM jockey setup outside serving Homebrew Beer.

DESCRIPTION:It is once again time for our Oktoberfesticuffs competition! We will be holding it at Broken Arrow Brewing Company on Thursday\, October 14 during our usual membership meeting. We really appreciate that BA Brewing is letting us use their facility for our meetings\, so please make sure you patronize the tap room and show your support! \nMembers are invited to enter their traditional German/Czech/Austrian beer\, lager or ale (BJCP Styles 3 through 10) . Limit is one entry per membership. \nThe link for the registration form is https://forms.gle/ouQ1dRG5jCdZDF746 \nIt is mandatory that you register your entry! No “walk in” entries will be allowed at the meeting! If you have any trouble with the registration form\, please email me at VP-Competitions@alemakers.org \nThere will be an award for 1st\, 2nd and 3rd place. \nOnce again\, we are using peoples choice to select the winners! Due to feedback about last year’s voting process\, we will be limiting votes to one per FOAM member\, two if you have a family membership and your registered family member is present. Any ties will be broken via coin toss.

DESCRIPTION:August is always mead month and we have several FOAMers who make great mead. Come on out and see what they are sharing. Of course all homebrew is welcome at all meetings even if they are aren’t hoppy beers.  \nWe’ve decided to mix up the meeting locations until Hope Church opens up again. This month we will be meeting at The Nook Brewing Company in Broken Arrow. Please do not bring commercial beers to the meeting. \nWe are asking that a few guidelines be followed for everyone’s safety.\n♦ If you haven’t been vaccinated we ask that you wear a mask when interacting with FOAM members and taproom staff.\n♦ Those bringing bottles should not hand their bottles to others to pour. The person who brought the beer should pour the sample into the FOAMER’s glass.\n♦ There will be sanitizer on the jockey box.
